3-23-2020--I am very sad to hear that the schools will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. I miss you all dearly. To continue learning from home, keep reading, keep doing Dreambox, and check out the Home Learning in Fourth Grade Ellis page that has optional suggestions for every subject. If you need help accessing Clever or Dreambox, please e-mail me and I will send you the necessary log-ins.

3-16-2020--Please refer to the list of websites that were sent home with students on 3/13/2020 for virtual learning.  A reading choice board was also sent home that contains a list of reading activities students can participate in using both fiction and nonfiction books.  Finally, a VA Studies study guide for 20th/21st Century Virginia was sent home as well.

If you want to start your day off on a good note, be sure to check out the morning announcements each morning with Ms. Meek on the Ellis Youtube channel.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNsNfNmIo1Ikk5KGRHxtpMQ

I teach 4th grade math and science. I love helping students see themselves as mathematicians and scientists. We will learn through numerous hands-on activities, guided practice, and inquiry-based instruction.

The dog in the picture is Pansy. She is technically my mom's dog, but I am sometimes lucky enough to get to babysit her.
